Ruby and her husband Claude are a working-class couple who live in suburban Arkansas. As crazy as they are for each other, their relationship is far from harmonious. (The lack of money doesn't help matters, either.) In fact, their whole family is fraught with unresolved conflicts. Then Claude's uncle is arrested on a felony charge, and everyone rallies round. Ruby's mother Jewel and flirtatious sister Rose (Claude's ex-girlfriend) even fly in from Tennessee; but, far from being a source of support, Jewel seems only to want to break up Ruby and Claude.

Carlo, a young photographer, is making love with his girlfriend at the beach when he witnesses a murder being feebly staged to look like a car accident. It was created by Michael Livingstone, Tom Thostrup and Claudia Webster and written by Rhodri Crooks, Tom Forbes, Livingstone, Sam Martin and Thostrup. Set in the madness of new fashion PR agency Grade PR, each week the show follows two ambitious interns as they embark on a week of tasks, tantrums and tears. However, unknown to them, the entire agency is fictional and the employees are actors.

Jeong-hye and Ji-hwan are a couple who have been living a wandering life due to debt. Ji-hwan makes a secret deal with Man-soo, the new owner of their previous house. The couple can stay at Man-soo's house, but in exchange, Ji-hwan must have sex with Man-soo's wife, Tae-hee. Man-soo also ends up taunting Jeong-hye secretly, using her unemployed husband as bait. Later, Jeong-hye and Ji-hwan eventually find out that they have been secretly played by the couple and get frustrated. In the end, Man-soo and Tae-hee propose a new offer to the couple.
